2010 Storm Chase 17 Teaser (May 26th)

After work, myself and Ben Carr headed out on a brief chase. After traffic and storm choice frustrations, we found ourselves on a beautiful supercell transiting the north side of the metro area. ... and I had a flat tire.

... and then another supercell behind the first.

Beautiful evening!

... and a special thanks to Brian Barnes of http://www.stormchase.com/ for lending me a jack to help me change my flat. I appreciate it!!!

Dann.

Lovely photos Dann, sure is nice when you don't have to drive hunnerds of miles to see beauties like that. Not sure what to make of that first pic, I can't quite resolve a tube there but then I'm half blind anyway. Sure like that last shot tho!

P.S.
Could you send another storm up here please? Thunderstorm not snowstorm.
Thanks in advance
PB

Boomer: Thank you! It really is... especially when they hold off for when I get off of work!

It's hard to see the "tornado" in that first pic. I've seen others' photos and video who were right under it and in reality, it was a tall, skinny wall that had brief spinups under it. I believe that is what the photo shows as opposed to a thick, classic tornado. It was never fully condensed.

PS: I'll get to work on that. :)

Tim: Thank you!

James: We will welcome chasers such as yourself. :)
